Well, I was out of town Saturday night, and I kinda figured I’d be too burned out to do much of anything when I got back home on Sunday, so for today’s post, you get a nifty video.
This vid is from a live performance of “Baba Drame,” from Bill Frisell‘s excellent album Intercontinentals (which will get reviewed as part of a larger Bill Frisell article). It’s one of my all-time favorite albums.
Based on information found on Frisell’s site, your video personnel are: Bill Frisell (guitar), Jenny Scheinman (violin), Sidiki Camara (percussion), Tony Scherr (bass), and Kenny Wollesen (drums). The video states that this is from an Oct. 24, 2002 performance. According to Frisell’s site, they were in Cormons, Italy that day, performing at the Teatro Comunale.
