I posted a concert review on Notes From The Holler. After the lead-in section, you can follow the link to read the rest of the article.
*****
I had the pleasure of attending a house concert in Louisville by the Jeremy Siskind Trio. Siskind has recently released the excellent album Finger-Songwriter, which I reviewed on Bird is the Worm, and so it was an enviable situation to be able to see the music performed live while the glow was still hanging over the cd.
The trio consists of Jeremy Siskind on piano, Nancy Harms on vocals, and Lucas Pino on sax, clarinet, and bass clarinet.
The concert was held in the lovely home of gracious hosts Shelley and Doug Finke, and they brought out an impressive crowd to hear the music… two full rooms of enthusiastic listeners.
Most of the songs performed came from Finger-Songwriter… (you can read the rest of the article, HERE, on Notes From The Holler).
Also, it’s worth noting that I’ve updated my Bird is the Worm review of Finger-Songwriter with a link to AllAboutJazz, where you can download a free album track, courtesy of the artists. The track will be featured as the AAJ Download of the Day sometimes in mid-August, but People In The Know can access these featured track before their scheduled date via the AAJ Musician Profile of each artist. The new link in the review will take you there.
Cheers.
