One day not long ago, the Tokyo-based quartet of trumpeter Tomonori Honma, bassist Tsubatics, guitarist Koichi Kidoura and drummer Ryosuke Kiyasu drank an entire gallon of rocket fuel. Suddenly consumed with the energy of a thousand exploding suns, they immediately ran to their instruments and began playing for their lives, hoping that creative release would save them from a fate of spontaneous combustion. Miraculously, someone had the foresight to hit the record button. Thus was born Cosmo from the Kiyasu Orchestra.
That backstory doesn’t appear anywhere on the band’s website, but there’s no other reasonable explanation for this ferocious free jazz performance.
Your album personnel: Tomonori Honma (trumpet), Tsubatics (bass), Koichi Kidoura (guitar) and Ryosuke Kiyasu (drums).
The album is Self-Produced.
