Today’s featured video is a promo for vibraphonist Sylvain Charrier‘s new album, Viva la Revolucion? Charrier leads his tentet through a series of delightfully playful compositions. It’s music that stays light on its feet even though it often seems capable of kicking out a weighty sound.
It’s one of those albums that might’ve flown under-the-radar, so I’m glad to be able to highlight with today’s video as well as its inclusion in this week’s This Is Jazz Today recommendations column (LINK).
